Discovered by Danish punk pioneer and guitarist in legendary art rock bands such as SODS and THE BLEEDER GROUP, the man behind the film score for PUSHER, VALHALLA RISING, and the ANT BOY movies, PETER PETER, has – together with his partner in crime PETER KYED – picked, played, and produced 11 songs from the underground singer/songwriter DANNY LUND’s country catalogue and turned the tunes into a weird vinyl venture. Featuring a few handpicked instrumentalists and female vocalists the cowboy crooner moves through this “piñata full of hits” like a mild mannered stalker in a Coen Bros. flick. The result is mind boggling, soulful, mellow, hefty, and actually all over the place. It’s that good, yes.

A PIÑATA FULL OF HITS
For decades, the dream of producing an international hit song has been a driving force behind making records. Alas, there is no telling what makes a hit – which, of course, hasn’t stopped the good folks at The Twilight Tone from trying.
Along with our investor, Abel Salazar Jr., head of Mexico-based Churubusco-Azteca Records, we have set out to record a hand-picked selection of simple singer/songwriter songs, which we have produced in entirely different musical styles. That way we are more likely to make a hit, and the album as a whole will have a much wider appeal to the public.
On this album you will encounter every popular genre known to mankind from Black Folk, Psych Country, Glam Punk, and Campfire Disco to Doom Pop and, naturally, straight out Kraut Stomp.
The brilliant musicianship paired with the genius of Scandinavia’s leading producing team – and a bunch of Mexican money – has resulted in a very exciting Piñata full of HITS!
